Templates are platform-curated starting points. You pick one, it becomes your own workspace with all of its files copied in, and from there you edit or generate on top of it. No signup-tier gating, no hidden billing at the copy step.
Where Templates Exist
Templates are not a cross-platform object. They exist in exactly three features, each with its own set:
- HTML Studio — page templates for landing pages, games, portfolios, interactive toys, and invitations
- Meme Image — curated meme formats with a free caption layer
- Meme Video — curated meme-video skeletons, recreated in your project
There is no user-built template library: what you make in a workspace is yours, and publishing to Community is a separate act with its own rules. The Templates and Explore views sit alongside your workspaces; neither replaces them.
HTML Template Categories
The HTML set is organized into five categories: landing (product launches, webinar and download pages), game (playable mini-experiences), portfolio (creative portfolios, case studies, resumés), interactive (toys, demos, experiments), and invitation (events, weddings, RSVPs). The catalog changes as templates are added; the category filters in the Templates view always show what is live.
How Templates Work
Choosing a template asks for one thing first: a target Project. Once you confirm, the system creates an independent HTML Workspace under that Project and copies, atomically, the template's code, the platform files it needs to run, and its starting notes. Three properties of that copy matter:
- It is free. The copy step calls no AI and triggers no billing. You pay nothing to start from a template.
- It is yours. The new workspace is an independent copy, not a live reference: later updates to the original template never reach your copy, and your edits never leak back.
- It is uncounted. Template result files do not consume your media library or workspace upload quotas.
From there, the workspace behaves like any other: manual edits are free, AI questions draw on the account-wide assistance pool, and asking the AI to write or change code is an explicit generation you confirm at 0.5 credits per text unit. A template's starting notes seed the new workspace's private creation brief, so the AI knows what it is looking at before you type anything.
What They Cost
Starting from a template: 0 credits. Keeping it: 0 credits. The only billed steps are the ones every workspace has, AI execution at the standard per-unit prices. A template that promises "a finished page" is overselling; what it delivers is a working skeleton and a head start, and the finish line is yours to confirm and pay for.
