What Meme Video covers
Meme Video turns a reference image, and often a template video, into a short meme clip. It opens inside your current project, and the first screen puts two modes side by side: Meme Generate and Meme Recreate. Both bill the same way. One confirmed submit is one video unit, 10 credits, and delivers exactly one finished clip. On Free, which refills 5 credits a day, a single clip costs two days of allowance.
Meme Generate
A single reference image is the minimum input. Output is a fixed 10 seconds with the aspect following your reference; there are no duration or aspect pickers. A written brief is optional. Leave it empty and the assistant completes the joke angles, copy, and final generation brief inside the paid task itself, included in the 10 credits; whatever you did write is used as-is. One sound choice: Sound, the default, renders picture and synchronized audio in the same paid task; Silent skips the audio track. Same price either way.
Meme Recreate
Recreate takes a template video plus a reference image. The system reads the template's joke structure, rhythm, and timing, then performs it with the subject from your image; duration and aspect follow the template. Templates come from the curated Meme Video Templates directory, structured skeletons with material slots, caption timing, pacing, and sound-effect positions built in. Browse with search, categories, Featured, Popular, and Latest; previews play on request, and nothing exists until you click Use this template. Custom videos work too: upload one up to 30 seconds or reuse a file from your media library or Project Results. Files that fail format, size, duration, or readability checks are stopped before credits are reserved, and an uploaded or media-library template serves the current task only; one picked from Project Results is saved as a fixed copy with the workspace. Sound here means Keep template audio, the default, which carries the original track over untouched, or Mute, which strips it. A template with no audio track delivers a silent clip and still counts as success.
Generating, candidates, and credits
Click Generate · 10 credits and the workspace runs one paid task at a time; how many workspaces run in parallel follows your plan, 1 on Free, 2 on Lite, 3 on Pro. The status line shows checking input, queued, generating, or saving result, with one automatic retry after a system failure and no percentage or ETA readouts; cancel exists only while queued. The task keeps running when you leave, and the first time you see the actual video is after it has passed its checks and saved. No preview clips, no multiple candidates per submit. Change the reference, template, or brief and click Regenerate · 10 credits to add a parallel candidate; earlier ones stay put. Failed or blocked tasks release their credits. Assists you trigger yourself, such as joke brainstorming or copy polish, draw on the shared assistance pool, 0.5 credits per 10 successful assists, and a suggestion never starts a paid task on its own.
Downloads and publishing
Every successful candidate is one standard MP4. Your own download carries no platform watermark; files taken from a public Explore page carry the author handle and x-rush.ai. Publishing sends one chosen candidate to Meme Video Explore with a required title and tags, Allow Remix on by default, and Share final prompt off by default; both switches stay yours to flip. A visitor who remixes picks a project, receives the published video as their custom template, and adds their own reference image. Building that workspace is free; their first submit bills 10 credits.
What Meme Video does not do
- Text alone produces nothing here. A reference image is the minimum input in both modes, and text-first video generation stays in Video Studio.
- Output shape is fixed: 10 seconds from a reference in Meme Generate, template-shaped in Meme Recreate. There are no format, resolution, or quality selectors, and the only deliverable is one MP4.
- There is no editor. Trimming, reordering, caption edits, stickers, and music mixing on a finished clip happen in Video Studio, where you pick the Meme Video result yourself.
- Recreate is best-effort by design. How closely a clip matches the template, and whether the joke lands, are your judgment calls; the remedy is another 10-credit regenerate.
