Meme Video has its own template directory, curated by the platform. Curated templates exist in exactly three places on x-rush.ai: HTML Studio, Meme Image, and Meme Video. Video Studio, which handles general video generation, is not one of them. A Meme Video template is a structured meme-video skeleton, with material slots, caption timing, pacing, and sound-effect positions maintained by the platform. Browsing is free.
Browsing the directory
There are two entrances: the Meme Video home page, and the template picker inside Meme Recreate. Search, categories, and Featured, Popular, and Latest sorting all read the curated catalog only. Browsing creates no workspace, calls no AI, and spends no credits.
Cards show a cover, a name, the duration, the aspect, and whether the template carries original audio. Nothing autoplays: desktop loads a short preview on hover or tap, mobile only after a tap, and playback stops when the card leaves the screen. Opening a detail page adds full playback and a short usage note. That is still browsing; close it or back out and nothing is left behind. The structure the platform maintains, the slots and timing data, stays internal. The detail page shows no template analysis and asks for no confirmation.
From template to clip
The directory stays read-only until you click Use this template. That click creates a private Meme Recreate workspace in your current project, carrying a fixed copy of the platform template. Until you rename it, the workspace takes the template's name with a "· Remake" suffix, and renaming is free. Creating the workspace costs nothing; the first billable moment is generation.
Three inputs, and only these three: your own reference image, which is required; an optional text brief; and a sound choice, Keep template audio or Mute. Then Generate · 10 credits. Output duration and aspect follow the template, so there are no pickers for either. Each confirmed submit delivers one finished clip as a new candidate in the workspace; Regenerate · 10 credits adds another alongside it, and older candidates stay untouched. The template copy in your workspace is fixed at creation, so later changes to the directory do not rewrite what you already started.
Custom template videos
The directory is not the only way to get a template. Inside Meme Recreate you can upload your own video, up to 30 seconds, or pick one from your media library or Project Results. It passes format, size, duration, and readability checks before any credits are reserved. A custom video never becomes a platform template. One you upload or pick from your media library serves the current task only, so you pick it again after a refresh or a device change; one picked from Project Results is saved as a fixed copy with the workspace.
What templates are not
- No My Templates. The platform curates the directory. There are no user submissions, no saving your own finished clip as a template, and no public template library.
- No slot editor. You cannot swap branding or assets into a template by hand. The template's structure does its work during generation, using the subject from your reference image.
- No shortcuts around Explore. Reuse of other people's published clips runs through Meme Video Explore Remix. A remixed clip arrives as the remixer's custom template, never as a platform template.
